6 strips of bacon
12 asparagus spears, trimmed
Salt and pepper to taste
Optional: dipping sauce of your choice (e.g., hollandaise, ranch, salsa)
Preheat the oven to 400°F.
Place the bacon on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake for 10–15 minutes or until crispy.
While the bacon is cooking, blanch the asparagus spears in boiling water for 2–3 minutes, then transfer to a bowl of ice water to stop the cooking process. Pat dry with a paper towel.
When the bacon is done, remove it from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes.
Wrap each asparagus spear with a piece of bacon and secure with a toothpick.
Place the bacon-wrapped asparagus dippers back on the baking sheet and bake for an additional 5–7 minutes until the asparagus is tender and the bacon is crispy.
While the dippers are cooking, prepare the jammy eggs. Bring a pot of water to a boil, then reduce the heat to low. Gently place the eggs in the water and cook for 6 1/2 minutes.
Remove the eggs from the pot and place them in a bowl of ice water to stop the cooking process. Once they are cool, gently peel the eggs.
Cut the jammy eggs in half and season with salt and pepper to taste.
Serve the bacon-asparagus dippers with the jammy eggs and a dipping sauce of your choice.
